Make Everything Bigger in Linux Mint

Right-click on the desktop,

Left-click on the words "Change Destop Background",

The "Appearance Preferences" box will open at the "Backgrounds" tab.

Wait until the background thumbnails appear, then left-click on the "Fonts" tab,

Left-click the "Details..." button in the bottom right-hand corner.

At the top of the "Font Rendering Details" box you will see a "Resolution" selector - which is set to 96 by default.

Increase that number using the up (and down) arrows or by typing in a number.  Make it a multiple of 12 - I find that 144 is OK for most of my visually challenged customers.

Left-click the "Close" button in the bottom right-hand corner.

And then do that again in the remaining box.

Reboot the computer to get the spacing all sorted out properly.

To increase the size of the desktop icons,go through:

Start, Control Centre, Personal, File Management, Views, Icon View Defaults, Default zoom level and increase the percentage.
